GREYHAVEN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE INITIAL INCIDENT REPORT CASE NO.: 76-027 DATE: 23 OCT 1976 NATURE OF INCIDENT: UNATTENDED DEATH / POSSIBLE DROWNING DECEDENT: HALLOW, JACOB LOCATION: RIVER NEAR OLD MILL WEIR, GREYHAVEN COUNTY REPORTING OFFICER: DEP. R. L. MATHIS INCIDENT NARRATIVE Responding deputies located the body of Jacob Hallow in the river near the old mill weir. Superficial abrasions were observed on both forearms and portions of the torso. The origin of these injuries could not be determined at the scene. No obvious major external trauma was observed. No immediate evidence of foul play was observed at the scene. The death was treated as a possible drowning pending examination by the County Coroner. ACTION TAKEN Scene secured. County Coroner notified. Personal effects collected and logged. Investigation opened under Case No. 76-027.
